Nothing to See Here is a selection pet effects and touches. Each idea, effect, or touch I am proud and love to make use of and I know you will too.
The book is FULL of HIGHLIGHTS ... material I really didn't want to give away and I'm still questioning myself now :)
“Nothing To See Here” is a great experience and a weird journey – you will discover in reading it, I have many sides and faces to my performances; from the DEEPLY esoteric, shamanic and ritualistic to the zany and more lighter mental magic. Included is my “Powerhouse Act” a highly INTERACTIVE show piece capable of entertaining and engaging a whole audience for 10 to 30 minutes. This whole LIGHT WEIGHT, FAT-FREE act is one of the highlights of the book and worth the price alone. I've done a lot of work in polishing this and cleaning it up and you get all the nuances, tips and tricks. It's a real performance piece, something you can get your teeth in NOT one of these 1 minute wonders.
A pendulum effect is used in the Powerhouse Act that is also taught and expanded upon as a stand alone piece, that has become ONE of my GO TO pendulum pieces - it gets the pendulum out of your hands and into theirs with GREAT RESULTS. The reactions I get from this one piece you WOULDN'T BELIEVE until you try it.
My “Mental Drawing Duplication” - This literally looks like, because it is, the real thing. You reveal what drawing a person is thinking of without them having drawn anything. This is no-gimmicks, no props, it is totally mental in all senses of the word and is worth more than the price of the book. It is no surprise this is my GO TO impromptu piece. It has taken 7 years of tweaks, script changes and hundreds of performances to get it to where it is now, a few moments away from being in your hands. I'm going to go out on a limb and say this has a HOLY GRAIL feel to it ;) ... my advice is you pick this up now!
Mauricio Jaramillo compared this, very flatteringly, to Jerome Finley's "Thought Channel" in that what TC was to the which hand plot ... this is to the drawing duplication.
This alongside the section marked SNEAKY RUSES will propel your drawing duplication and sneak thief presentations to the top.
For readers and those wishing to make their performances more emotional and personal: I've dealt out the dirty details of my reading system, that was inspired by my stay with the Reindeer shaman of the Mongolian steppe. This and my mental drawing duplication are the effects that are keeping this limited. Hot on it's heels is a closer to my Energetic Waves show called the “Exquisite Close”- a highly interactive, original end to a shamanic, mind-body, mentalism, therapeutic show or event; That connects everybody with something they can take home whilst at the same time leaving behind something they've always wanted to get rid of.
You'll find my highly praised “Happy Place” script, a way of forming deep rapport and connection with your participants and people you share your mentalism with.
My “Coin Oracle”, I haven't seen anyone use anything like this, it's highly personal to me, but I imagine with time and thought you'll be able to adapt this to your own reading and your own lifestyle.
"...beautiful ... the best reading system i have ever heard of honestly. it made a lump in my throat" - ASHER SubconsciousSymbols
For the business card and billet workers amongst you (wannabe, beginner or advanced) There are two super simple peeks, one using a two billets and some balls, the other a stack of business cards. The business card stack routine will literally allow you a full, motivated billet peek right in front of their faces ... and they won't notice.
There some pieces of super simple, but powerful mentalism. "iSpectator" a spectator as mind reader effect with nothing, but a smart phone. "Tribal Waves" a delicious combination of music, psychology, inutition and presentation ... and "Touch" requires a little maths and although a relative newcomer to my arsenal this has become quickly a favourite of mine.
"Serial Flasher" - Is a run down on my handling and history with the Serial Divination effect - not for the faint hearted and one you're not going to pick up overnight unless you come to this already running - you'll understand when you read it. There are handlings detailed for US DOLLARS, EUROS AND UK POUND NOTES ... and I'm sure once you're up to speed with the fundamentals you could make this work for other currencies too!
On a related subject there follows my parlour and party game approach to the Amazing Memory Demonstration, again this is an approach to the effect I haven't seen before.
"Dream work" - We are getting pretty deep into transformational work here as we look at techniques to allow people to manifest and dream a dream of their or your choosing. I address one of my pet peeves - routines that promise to help you participant remove their nightmares .. but don't - here we look at exactly how we can do this.
This dream work section also includes presentations with Dreamcatchers and some marketed items you may be familiar with.
What else .... oh ... my EASY-PEESY SUPER CHEAP SUPER GOOD IMPRESSION IMP PAD details are revealed the first time! Enough said for now on that side.
Along the way you'll find tips on contact mind reading / muscle reading and several surefire routines and training wheels to get you proficient.
NATURALLY this is limited to 75 copies.
The Special Price on this at the moment is 80 dollars.
Each book will be signed and numbered!
Asthetically this a colour cover softback, a little smaller than A4, with around 180 pages.
PRAISE FOR NOTHING TO SEE HERE AND PRECURSOR NOTES
DR BILL: I received my copy of Nothing To See Here a few days ago and have read all but the first and last effects. And reading the above is killing me because the DD is the first! Andy recommends watching some videos he provides links to before starting and as I didn't have Internet access at that time I skipped ahead and just kept going.
What I have read is top notch and I am very, very impressed. Andy has led a truly unique life and every aspect of Nothing To See Here provides evidence of this.
From the layout, to the cover(s!), artwork, and quotes you immediately know you are holding something special. The stories from Andy's life are magical as well and his writing obviously from the heart.
These are the methods, philosophy and effects of someone who thinks and cares passionately about his art. And deeply about other people.
Andy tends toward the mystical, as has his life, yet we are still looking at work firmly grounded in the classic methods of mentalism as well as more recent developments that have captivated our odd little world. No matter what type of mentalism you prefer, you can use the material in Nothing To See Here.
If you are into mysticism, readings and healings you will receive some extra rewards. Think Jerome Finley and early Enrique Enriquez, both noted influences on Andy's philosophy and presentations. And I'd say it is a safe bet that if you like the recent Neal Scryer books you will enjoy this as much or more.
This IS NOT a book for beginners and I think that needs to be stressed. Andy assumes a firm grounding in mentalism so if you are interested but not there yet still buy Nothing To See Here but put it away for now. I suggest this as it is a limited release and I don't want anyone to blame me for not getting a copy while it was available.
NEFESCH: I noted how his approach to mentalism is a very clean and deep way to emotinally link people with their thoughts. Throu many other times we met he was so kind to show me some of his ideas, they were always amazing and I truly loved them ! I've seen Kannon perform all the effects that he is releasing in this E-book, so I can guarantee you that the material you will find in this book is practical and is very emotional, organic mentalism.
Two Thumbs up!!
Nefesch ****** SEAN WATERS: The notes start with a simple visualization which creates context for nearly any "bit" of thought acquistion. At hello, Kannon engages his audience (and readers) and invites them to share an experience. I like this.
Another piece of weird and wonderful follows which may be one of my favorites. In short, the performer engages one of the senses directly, and then asks the participant to fill in the rest. I like that Kannon understands that effects only exist in the mind of viewers. This effect really demonstrates this in an interesting way. Basically, music is played and the participant is asked to visualize a scene. It matches the prediction.
What stands out most about Kannon's Precursor Notes is his ability to draw me in and give me a sense of wonder. I like that. ******* JAYBEST: Man these notes are crazy good, and based off what's within, your book is going to be pretty fantastic.
I have not really played around with any of the pieces other than giving your business card peek a go (I'll be using this) and have been looking at using your Happy Place piece as a mini reading/power goal setting sequence, but it's all solid, practical and workable material.
Great stuff, your book is a must have for me and these notes are a nice introduction. ******* SUBCONSCIOUSSYMBOLS:Just wanted to post my thoughts on these notes after having time to absorb the information fully.
To start with Andy has a very casual and slightly humorous writing style which makes his work a pleasure to read through and easy to follow. The layout is excellent with the instructions, methods and presentations grouped together very logically.
Whilst these superficial issues are the least important , in my opinion, having a clear, readable layout allows you to better access the knowledge in these notes.
'Happy Place'- I love this piece of Andy's and I am not surprised to hear that others do too. To sum it up briefly, it is one of those wonderful little additions to your toolbox which takes up NO space, very little time and can be applied to ANY situation. It will give your performances more emotional impact and create a connection with the spectator.
'iSpectator' and 'Tribal Waves' are both brilliant pieces involving mobile phones (natural and organic anyone?). The first using their phone, in almost any situation. The second using your phone after a one-time setup (not an app, just something very natural). Both are very, very strong pieces and their impromptu nature only adds to their effectiveness.
'C.U.B.T' and 'Kwatakye Atiko' are Andy's wonderful full billet ***k and a routine using two classic moves in perfect synchronicity. Something in these two pieces for all billet workers even if you don't use them 'as is'.
'Touch' is a great idea with plenty of applications and this is a great introduction to the premise. This is a taster as I know Andy has many more great thoughts using this idea to be expanded on in his book.
'Coin Oracle' in a word BEAUTIFUL. I have saved this until last, as Andy does in his notes, although I am surprised he wrote this up at all.
It is a reading system that Andy has forged himself through experience, education and emotion.
It is very powerful. Andy has told me that some of the time people look at the oracle and are overwhelmed as they answer their question themselves.
For me the massive potential of this system is the way that it has been created. I will be taking Andy's concept and creating my OWN personal version. This is where the strength lies. The 'Coin Oracle' has so much emotion invested in it that your participant cannot fail to become attached to it and therefore anchored into the process.
Worth the price of these notes (which is too low!)
Grab these notes to get a taste of Andy's thinking. They will more than whet your appetite. You will not be disappointed.
